Elephantech Inc. was selected as one of the winners of Logitech’s Future Positive Challenge

Elephantech Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO & CTO: Shinya Shimizu, hereinafter “Elephantech”) was selected as one of the winners of Logitech’s Future Positive Challenge, a technology challenge for sustainability-led disruptors poised to make a meaningful contribution to a positive future.

Companies were selected from around the globe this year for their pioneering solutions to printed circuit boards (PCB), batteries, and acoustic and magnetic devices. Elephantech has developed a completely new sustainable PCB manufacturing method called the Pure Additive™, which combines metal inkjet printing and copper plating. We are actively working towards realizing the sustainable PCB industry by leveraging this method, and we believe that these efforts have been recognized by Logitech.

Elephantech will receive an offer to collaborate with Logitech for a proof-of-concept (PoC) project as a result of being selected as the winner.

Elephantech is committed to further enhancing this technology and making additional contributions to shaping a clean future of electronics.

LOGITECH’S FUTURE POSITIVE TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES WINNERS

Logitech’s Chief Operating Officer, Prakash Arunkundrum, commented: “The Future Positive Challenge prioritizes technologies that are integral to advancing breakthrough innovations in the consumer electronics industry. We congratulate all of the companies that showcased their ideas to solve sustainability-related engineering and process design challenges. I was impressed with the range of solutions and level of innovation coming from these disruptive startups. We have the solutions today to help us solve the engineering challenges that will lead to lower product carbon impact and it’s simply a matter of harnessing and scaling those solutions to create the change needed to design a positive future.”

Elephantech’s CEO, Shinya Shimizu, said: “We are proud of collaborating with Logitech. We need to fight against climate change, and we need new sciences and technologies to do so, for which we exist. However, technologies alone do not solve any issue. People who take risks to foster and adopt new technologies are as essential as the technologies themselves. Throughout our discussions, I perceived a profound commitment to a better future from Logitech. I am confident that our collaboration with Logitech will be a game-changing moment, propelling us towards a green future for electronics.”
