Elephantech Announces First Sale of ELP04 PILOT 600R, Accelerating Transformation of PCB Manufacturing

Elephantech Inc. (Shinya Shimizu, CEO, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), Japanese deep-tech startup Elephantech Inc. (Elephantech) today announced the sale of the first unit of ELP04 PILOT 600R, the latest model in its ELP04 advanced inkjet equipment series.

Elephantech’s latest ELP04 PILOT 600R inkjet equipment

As a key component of Elephantech’s proprietary SustainaCircuits technology, ELP04 PILOT 600R directly deposits copper nano-ink onto the substrate, forming the conductive seed layers for wiring and printed-through-hole (PTH) in general-purpose multilayer PCBs. It is also applicable for the formation of blind-via and uniform thin-film deposition, enabling broader PCB designs.

The sale was executed through a three-party Joint Development Agreement among Elephantech, Sumitronics Corporation and a leading Japanese PCB manufacturer. Under the joint development, the equipment will be installed at the manufacturer’s production site to apply Elephantech SustainaCircuits process for PCB fabrication toward mass production.

Building on the successful development of general-purpose SustainaCircuits multilayer PCB last year, Elephantech has kept the momentum to advance low-carbon manufacturing solutions. The initial sale of ELP04 PILOT 600R marks the first installation of the company’s multilayer PCB manufacturing equipment at a production facility, enabling real-world evaluation of the SustainaCircuits process for mass-production use. This milestone represents a significant step toward broader adoption of the technology across the PCB industry in both domestic and international markets.

About SustainaCircuits

SustainaCircuits is Elephantech’s proprietary pure additive PCB manufacturing process that disrupts the heavily polluting DES approach. Through adopting SustainaCircuits, PCB manufacturers can produce low-carbon multilayer PCBs with significantly less copper consumption, water usage, and CO2 emissions. SustainaCircuits integrates Elephantech’s inkjet equipment, copper nanoparticle ink and optimized workflow. It replaces the core step in PCB fabrication while keeping subsequent steps unchanged, allowing minimal process disruption and seamless implementation.
