Message from the CEO
Commercializing essential scientific technologies for humanity.
We believe that Elephantech’s existence is only justified if it can contribute to human happiness and survival by accelerating scientific progress by 10 or even 20 years. Without such an impact, we see no reason for it to exist.
I decided to start this company during my studies in the United States while working for my previous employer. What I felt in the U.S. was a powerful driving force that pushes humanity forward. If something is deemed a “necessary technology for humanity,” people gather, funds are raised, and technology is developed – even if it’s extremely high-risk and the feasibility isn’t clear. Of course, not everything succeeds, but from these efforts emerge companies like Moderna, SpaceX, and OpenAI that drive humanity forward. Startups developing new materials and manufacturing methods to address climate change are emerging one after another. I believe the U.S. will continue to be central in advancing human progress for some time. And naturally, as they create such essential value at the forefront of humanity, it’s only fitting that corresponding wealth is generated.
I believe Japan should be the same. In fact, I believe Japan is the country with the largest gap between its inherent potential and current reality, making it a place of great possibility. If Japan had sufficient entrepreneurs and ecosystems, there’s no doubt it could leverage its technology and assets fully to advance humanity and generate significant wealth.
The technology we’re working on has the potential to truly change the world. It’s a remarkable technology that could shift the manufacturing paradigm by printing metal. Our technology is inherently necessary for humanity due to its resource and energy efficiency. It’s based on nanotechnology and ultra-high precision MEMS, fields that have seen significant progress in the last 20 years. All these factors are why we believe we should be doing this now.
It’s also crucial that this is a sustainable and highly profitable business. This technology provides fundamental value by significantly reducing the materials and processes needed to manufacture essential electronic components. With cutting-edge, exclusive equipment and materials as our business model, we’re set up to generate substantial profits and continue to drive humanity forward. The path to becoming a company where “the world lines up to buy from us” and “the world can’t function without us” – like some current semiconductor material and equipment companies – is already clearly visible.
Let’s advance the world through science and create a better future.
