Transforming printed electronics through technical innovation
Printed electronics offers a range of benefits, including significant material and process reduction, making it an ideal manufacturing method for printed circuit board (PCB) production. However, the industry dream of producing PCBs using printed electronics has long remained unrealized.
Now, Elephantech is finally making this dream a reality. We’ve successfully started using copper nanoparticle ink printing technology to mass produce PCBs—and we’re doing it using unique, cutting-edge technologies that have been custom developed for every part of the production process from materials to equipment, processing, and more.
Our next-generation technologies are tailored to support process stability.
Materials
Mass producing a replacement for conventional PCBs demands exceptional quality and high production yield. At Elephantech, we use cutting-edge material technology to produce circuits that are extremely durable and adhere firmly to the substrate and our metal nanoparticle ink uses advanced ink technology to ensure stable print processing. Learn more about the material technologies behind our successful mass production of printed circuit boards that are just that—printed.
NeuralJet™ printing
We are continuing to refine both our high-precision NeuralJet™ inkjet print processing technology that integrates AI with advanced control mechanisms as well as printing equipment that uses this technology.
When you’re using printers to produce intricate circuit boards for complex electronic devices there’s no room for error—a single drop of ink in the wrong place would immediately render a product defective. That’s why we’ve created our own unique hardware, control systems, and an AI model that integrates these to deliver ultra high-precision printing that meets the standards for mass production of printed circuit boards using printed electronics. Discover how our printing technology supports precision, stability, and productivity in printed electronics.
Processing
Conventional printed electronics technologies have mostly focused on print processing without consideration of supporting processes, but printing alone can’t ensure durability equivalent to a standard equivalent to a standard PCB. To overcome this challenge, we developed a unique production process that combines printing with copper plating—a process that we are now using to successfully mass produce printed circuit boards using printed electronics.
